Under the direct supervision of the Region Manager for Eastern Asia, you will be part of the expertise department of GeoConcept in Shanghai and help set-up our new office in China and follow-up on our existing Japanese office.
Your mission is to ensure:
- The Quality build-up of our software solution in Asia :
1. Translation and testing of the localization of GeoConcept GIS in Chinese.
2. Translation &/or creation of technical documentation (user guide/e-learning modules)
3. Creation of pre-sales materials (demonstrations, presentation, videos)
4. Pre-sales presentations to new clients
5. Benchmarking of competitors and software improvement suggestions
- The client follow-up:
1. Technical support for existing clients
2. Software installation & Training of clients
- Travel
1. Travels within China & to Japan are possible
2. Travel to France is possible, once a year
REQUIREMENT:
1. Chinese and English written and spoken fluently
2. Rigorous, autonomous, curious and dynamic, organized, sense of customer service, ability to work within a multidisciplinary team, flexible hours to respect project deadlines.
3. Bachelor or Master Degree in a related field (IT)
4. 1-2 years of related experience
5. Computer software technologies (Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office)
6. Project management
7. GIS technologies in genera
HARD SKILLS
- Education : must have IT background, MS or MBA in Sales/Marketing will be a real plus.
- Technical Knowledge: GIS, web knowledge (to install a server and deal with web service), database (organization, queries...). Development competencies are interesting. A good candidate with "adjacent" knowledge (= tech knowledge which can help to understand quickly GIS, like Data-Mining, CRM...) can be considered but only if he does very well on all other criteria.
EXPERIENCES
- Job : experience in pre-sales or, at least, experiences which are customer-oriented (customer projects)
- Market : knowledge of the India GIS market or of the India businesses we will target (sales network, IT services...). A candidate with personal connections with potential customer can be, of course, a must.
SOFT SKILLS
- Communication : abilities to clearly explain and positively interact (be concrete, well present arguments...) are essentials. Communication skills are not only related to face-to-face but also written and phone communications.
- Motivation : the candidate must show motivation to join a "start-up" like GC China (!). Motivation for our project but also related to the will to convince, interact, collaborate (team work)
